Our Values
1️⃣ Relationship with Jesus
a. John 15:4-8: We want to see people come into saving faith and keep growing in it! We practice this by being grounded in Scripture, fervent in prayer, and focused on worship!
2️⃣ Spirit-filled lives
a. Eph 5:18: When God’s Spirit is poured out on someone, they are empowered to live for Christ and proclaim the gospel through their words, actions, and lives every day. We live this value out by asking God to cultivate the fruit and gifts of the Spirit in our church.
3️⃣ Jesus-Centered Growth
a. Esther 4:14: God has placed us here for such a time as this. We value seeing God grow us, shape us, and change us so that we can effectively be on mission where God has placed us. We live this out by prayerfully going where God wants.
4️⃣ Passionate Evangelism
a. Romans 10:14-15 shows us that the only way for someone to know the good news – the news about Jesus Christ and salvation – is if someone else tells them. We are sent to proclaim the good news to this world! We are striving to make evangelism an everyday thing – always ready to share the hope we have in Jesus with others.
5️⃣. Healthy Relationships
a. 1 Cor 13:4-7 speaks about the “dos” and “don’ts” of brotherly love that should characterize our relationships as believers. We want to truly love each other, as the Word shows us: putting others first, rejoicing in the truth, putting away pride. Biblical love for other flows from the love God has poured out on us. Jesus is our ultimate example of how to love others well.
6️⃣ Illogical Generosity
a. 2 Corinthians 9:1-15: just as God gives generously to us – the ultimate example of this is Christ and His sacrifice on the cross – we also strive to give generously; to be illogically generous. We practice this by remembering that we can’t out-give God. As we give generously, God will give generously, so we can continue to give generously. It’s a wonderful cycle of generosity!
7️⃣ Integrity
a. In Matthew 5:37, Jesus says “Simply say yes, or no. Anything more comes from evil (ESV).” James 5:12 echoes the same. Integrity should characterize the Jesus-follower. We are people saved by grace, waiting for Jesus, with a witness to this world! Living out integrity by being people of our word is part of the Christian life.
